EDU7080   Contemporary Issues in Early Childhood Education   (30 credits)

Description

A critical understanding of current issues in early education is the focus of this module, enabling students to contribute creatively and critically to developments within early childhood education. Students will focus on: definitions of quality in early childhood education; assessment; special educational needs and inclusive education; equality of opportunity; children's rights; inspection; parental involvement; home learning; provision for children under three; management of early childhood education.
